St Mark's Camberwell
The design of the former St Mark's web site wasn't so much a design as it was an online Word document with a list of links at the top. In addition to a complete lack of interface, it appeared that the content on there hadn't been updated in about half a decade.
Infusion Design was called.
After a detailed design brief by Mark, a very enthusiatic member of the St Mark's team eager to move the church into the 21st century as soon as humanly possible, Jamie set to work on creating a design that portrayed the inviting community feel of the church.
It was decided that a great way to convey this was through photos. The Infusion team, armed with Digital SLRs and some intimidatingly large lenses, stealthily moved around the church for an hour on one Sunday morning and took a casual 876 photos.
Content Management was implemented to enable the St Mark's team to update pages on a regular basis, including the functionality to dynamically add pages or sections themselves. While we were at it we set up an entirely new email system for them just for good measure. What did they think of it all?
"CONGRATULATIONS on a terrific website and CMS. I am very pleased with your work. The final product looks and operates terrifically well. Thank you!"
- Mark Hood, Assistant Curate (also now Webmaster!)
And yes, it was in capitals.
